RIM & Microsoft Plan on Sharing a Cloud

It appears that RIM is going to use Microsoft’s cloud for data storage and management of its corporate smartphones and Playbook

It appears that RIM is going to use Microsoft's cloud for data storage and management of its corporate smartphones and seven-inch Playbook tablets. It'll swap out its users' pricey on-premises e-mail widgetry. Microsoft won't run the data centers but will supply connections to its upcoming Office 360 web-based applications like Office Web Apps, Exchange, Lync and SharePoint. It'll be hosted by RIM for users of Exchange 2010 Online for free. The pair is still in the testing phase and will beta around mid-year. RIM figures a quarter of its large corporate accounts will move by the end of the year.
