AppForge Announces Support for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005

Affirms Continued Support for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 in Crossfire Platform

ATLANTA, Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- AppForge, Inc. today announced plans to support Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 on its award-winning Crossfire(R) development platform.

Crossfire, a leading enterprise mobile application development platform, makes it possible for developers to quickly create and deploy robust applications on most mobile and wireless devices using Microsoft Visual C# .NET 2003, Visual Basic .NET 2003 and Visual Basic 6.0. Visual Studio 2005 enables developers to increase productivity, decrease development costs and reduce development cycles. Crossfire extends these capabilities by allowing developers to write or refine applications in Microsoft programming languages they are proficient in for deployment on multiple devices regardless of the operating system.

"AppForge has offered support for Visual Studio for years and we are pleased to offer that continued support for Visual Studio 2005," said Bob Holt, director of Product Management, AppForge. "AppForge is committed to ensuring Crossfire supports both current and emerging Visual Studio offerings to help our customers continue to deploy mobile solutions that help connect people, processes and information."

"Crossfire extends the capabilities of Visual Studio 2005, offering increased benefit to our mutual customers," said Christopher Flores, group product manager of the .NET Developer Product Marketing Group at Microsoft Corp. "Developers will benefit from the ability to use their existing Visual Studio skills to target a wide range of mobile devices."

The Crossfire platform will provide support for Visual Studio 2005 in the early part of 2006.
